II. Music career of singer Quang Dung

When he was a high school student, Quang Dung often sang at Thu Vang Cafe on Tran Cao Van street, Quy Nhon city. In a music night celebrating the birthday of musician Trinh Cong Son, Quang Dung improvised to sing and was praised and cheered by the audience.

In 1997, he participated in the Binh Dinh Television Singing Competition and won the 2nd prize. In 1998, Quang Dung was appointed by the Provincial Department of Culture to be the representative to join the Voice competition of the Central - Tay Nguyen provinces in Hue and he won a gold medal.

In August 1998, Quang Dung came to Saigon because of the invitation of the owner of Dong Dao teahouse.

Fortunately, Quang Dung had the opportunity to sing Trinh music at Nhac Si house with the presence of musician Trinh Cong Son and was praised by this musician. After that, the musician Trinh Cong Son directly selected the song in accordance with Quang Dung's voice and instructed him how to express the work.

In 2001, the song "Bien nghin thu o lai" signed by the musician Trinh Cong Son, Quang Dung chose to the title song for his 1st solo album released by Ben Thanh Audio. This CD sold cautiously and exceed gradually the number of 5000 copies. Quang Dung's voice began to be noticed by many people through the compositions of Trinh Cong Son and of Dieu Huong.

He was invited by director Tran My Ha to play the role of Han Mac Tu in the 5-episode TV series. And in the part 2 of the movie "Gai Nhay", Quang Dung was also invited to play the singer Khang Dung.

At the end of 2018, Quang Dung performed the "Love Story" concert and made a lot of impressions in the music lovers.
