ISRAEL FILM FESTIVAL IN VIETNAM - 2020

Rebecca Abarnabel, an only daughter born into an Orthodox Jewish family, is tired of the lifestyle that her father, Reuven, has forced upon her. She and her mother, Victoria, go on a life-changing journey between worlds.

+ THE FAREWELL PARTY

THE FAREWELL PARTY is a unique, compassionate and unlikely funny story of a group of friends at a Jerusalem retirement home who build a machine for self-euthanasia in order to help their terminally ill friend. When rumors of the machine begin to spread, more and more people ask for their help, and the friends are faced with a life and death dilemma.

+ AND THEN SHE ARRIVED

Dan Freilich, age of 30, is a handsome but very easy-going nerd and has everything he could ever hope for, and then some: the perfect job at his father’s law firm, the perfect loving family and the perfect girlfriend. But a chance encounter with a waitress in Jerusalem makes him realise something was missing after all – true love. From here on in, the plot thickens.

+ SKY RAIDERS

13-year-old Yotam is obsessed with flying, but his overprotective mother won’t let him anywhere near planes. When Yotam and his classmate Noa find a rare antique plane, they team up with Morris, an 80-year-old grumpy loner who used to be a pilot. Together they try to bring the plane back to life, just in time for the Annual Air Show.

+ SHOESLACES

Nominated for eight Israeli Academy Awards including Best Film, SHOELACES is a wholly engaging, tender family dramedy about the knotty relationship between an aging, irascible mechanic and the exuberant special-needs son he abandoned long before.
