Workshop: Self-portrait on Silk in the July will guide you through the making of a silk-painting - from the stretching of fabric onto the fabric surface, the sketching of initial ideas, to the final layering of watercolour onto the fabric surface.

Not only a demonstration of skills, this workshop will also offer you a chance to practice painting your own self-portrait (or any of your loved ones even though you’re not specialized in painting skill yet!) and take home an artwork that you make!
This workshop is led by the emerging painter Tôn Nữ Thị Bích Trâm - also known as ‘Châm Wears Dress’. Pursuing Silk Painting from the HCMC University of Fine Arts, Trâm is inspired by nature and the life she experiences around her. Trâm has participated in the competition ‘Paint with Poems' (initiated by Kim Dong Publication), and is the lead illustrator for the comic book project ‘Truyen co Cham’ (Folktales of Champa) (Kim Dong Publication), as well as the teaser poster of the movie ‘Thua me, con di’.
