Beyond SOUND | Day 03. Alberto Novello

BEYOND SOUND’ is a series of concerts of experimental music aiming to reveal the latest works of Vietnamese and foreign composer/ musician. The program is curated and organized by Heritage Space and Dom Dom.

Following the much anticipated Beyond SOUND series, Heritage Space & Dom Dom are proud to introduce the fourth showcase: Beyond SOUND|Day 04. Alberto Novello.

 Alberto Novello a.k.a. JesterN is a scientist, composer, sound and video artist. His main artistic focus is directed towards the creation of probabilistic multi-media architectures, on the technological limit between instability and error, failure and expression.

His artistic works have been presented in international festivals such as Amsterdam Dance Event, Venice Biennale, Impuls Tanz Vienna, Seoul International Music Festival, Emu Fest Roma, Monaco Electroacoustique, New York Computer Music Festival, Rewire Festival etc.

He is the artistic director of the AESON festival Italy and has received awards and grants from the Nederlands Fonds Podium Kunsten, Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, ResArtis together with Thamgidi Studio Foundation and Beijing Studio Center.

The concept behind Mr. Novello’s Beyond Sound Day 04 is exploration: Mr. Novello will be improvising live with his modular synthesizer, triggered by the sounds that he hears around him and he will be exploring the acoustic characteristic of the place.
