Information from the organizer:
Music can be likened to a universal language, the language of the soul, bringing people together through harmony and spreading empathy through every sound. "The power of music to touch and connect with people is truly miraculous, in the way it comes into this world." Overcoming all barriers of age, gender, and culture, music is a bridge that brings us closer to one another, and it is through music that we can ignite and spread the beautiful values in life.
May Space desires that through music, not only will it nurture the emotions within each individual, but it will also serve as a bridge to bring hearts closer together, to multiply love, and to spread positive messages throughout life. Carrying that spirit, with the hope of making a small contribution to the greening journey of Vietnam in general and the "For a Million Vietnamese Bamboo Trees" campaign in particular, May Space collaborates with The Green Sound to organize the Rising Stars Sound of the Forest Concert - a fundraising concert for the Green Sound Community project.
The program is part of the fourth edition of the Rising Stars International Arts Festival & Competition - an annual competition organized for young music enthusiasts and passionate individuals by May Space Music Academy in collaboration with internationally renowned art adjudicators. Through the program, May Space wishes to create conditions for contestants to listen, enjoy and have closer contact with classical artworks performed by famous domestic and international artists. At the same time, it seeks to plant the first seeds of greenery in their souls on the journey to preserve and develop the green lungs of the country.
ABOUT THE GREEN SOUND PROJECT
The Green Sound (Thanh Am Xanh) is a project established by the Warm Scarf Foundation, a community music fund that has been implemented for the past 10 years with the desire to "change the future through the smallest things." The Green Sound, with the campaign "For a Million Vietnamese Bamboo Trees," is an urgent call for the community to adapt and minimize the impacts of climate change, aiming to green Vietnam and create sustainable livelihoods for people in highland areas.
Thanh Âm Xanh (The Green Sound) was launched in 2020, and in 2021, it successfully planted 18,800 bamboo trees. In 2022, continuing its journey to green Vietnam, the project raised funds from the community to plant an additional 137,550 trees. Over the past two years, The Green Sound has organized various community activities such as the "Mountainous Sound" art program, the music exchange program "Listening to Children - Listening to Bamboo," and the TRE Festival 2022, aiming to raise awareness and promote community action for a Green and Healthy environment. The project also calls for the collaboration and efforts of the government, businesses, and the community to envision a sustainable Green society by enriching forests, creating livelihoods, and fostering expectations in an equitable ecosystem.

RISING STARS SOUND OF THE FOREST CONCERT - THE GREEN SOUND COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING CONCERT
Starting from a heartfelt desire to contribute to the green journey, pianist Pham Quynh Trang initiated the annual charity art program "Thu Yêu Thương" (Autumn of Love) in collaboration with the Warm Scarf Foundation. The program aims to raise funds for building schools in remote areas, specifically for children in need. Over the course of three years, pianist Pham Quynh Trang has worked closely with the Warm Scarf Foundation, successfully constructing four school locations in Son La and Ha Giang. This effort has provided hundreds of children in these challenging regions with improved school facilities, access to educational materials, and warm clothing to attend school.
In addition, during the Green Sound fundraising concert held on November 19, 2022, at Ecopark, pianist Pham Quynh Trang was one of the "green fairies" who contributed to the magical musical performances and the overall success of the program. With that spirit in mind, pianist Pham Quynh Trang collaborated with the May Space and The Green Sound to organize the "Rising Stars Sound of the Forest Concert." The concert serves as a bridge to express the sounds of nature through music, evoking beautiful memories, positive inspiration, and love for the environment. It aims to create a sense of responsibility among individuals towards the environment and the surrounding life through the power of music.
The Rising Stars Sound of the Forest Concert featured the participation of many renowned artists from both Vietnam and abroad, including: violinist Pham Truong Son, cellist Phan Do Phuc, viola artist Vincent Fillatreau, pianist Pham Quynh Trang, pianist Luu Duc Anh, pianist Nguyen Trinh Huong, pianist Nguyen Le Thuyen Ha, pianist Tran Thi Tam Ngoc, violinist Nguyen Cong Thang, pianist Ricky Tsang, violinist Ngo Hoang Linh, pianist Corinna Chang, pianist Ian Goh, cellist Nguyen Hong Anh, pianist Nguyen Minh Le, and pianist Dao Thu Le, Pianist Corinna Chang, Pianist Onpavee Nitisingkarin, Drum artist Nguyễn Minh Anh, Cello and Friends group performed by cellist Dao Tuyet Trinh and other cellists. Each artist serves as a green ambassador, sharing the same ideals and goals of spreading love for the environment and protecting the greenness of our beloved Earth. Notably, all the proceeds from the concert will be contributed to the Green Sound project, along with the "For a Million Vietnamese Bamboo Trees" campaign.
May Space hopes that through music, we can come closer, reflect, and harmonize with meaningful melodies and profound human values.
